Se empezará analizando el conocido poema de Stéphan Mallarmé «Una jugada de dados jamás abolirá el azar», en la que -como en otros ejemplos- el poema se «perfora» de manera que el blanco del papel se convierta en materia fundamental del texto… Javier del Prado, es autor del libro didáctico “Cómo se analiza una novela” (1984), aunque su actividad crítica se ha consagrado de manera más constante y personal a precisar los límites de la función ontológica de la escritura, con estudios sobre Mallarmé, en “Prosas” (1988), Proust, “Para leer a Proust” (1988) y numerosos artículos sobre Chateaubriand, Stendhal, Hugo, Flaubert, Zola, Galdós, así como a definir el espacio de la poética posromántica, “Teórica y práctica de la función poética” (1993). Como poeta ha publicado, entre otros, “Fragmentos de una autobiografía imposible: Volumen 1, Bajo el signo del viendo y de la noche” (1984) y “Mirador del Berbés” (1989). The talk will start by analyzing the famous poem by Stéphane Mallarmé «A roll of the dice will never abolish chance», in which -as in other examples- the poem is «drilled» so that the white paper becomes the core subject text… Javier del Prado, is the author of the textbook «How to analyze a novel» (1984), although its critical activity has been devoted more consistently to define the limits of the ontological function of writing. He has done studies of Mallarmé in «Prose» (1988), Proust, «To read Proust» (1988) and numerous articles on Chateaubriand, Stendhal, Hugo, Flaubert, Zola, Galdós, and on the definition of space in post-Romantic poetics, «Theory and practice of the poetic function» (1993). As a poet he has published, among others, «Fragments of an impossible autobiography: Volume 1, Under the sign of the wind and night» (1984) and «Mirador del Berbés» (1989).
