Toda obra de ingeniería se genera por la acción de la forma y se irradia en derredor para construir el paisaje. Su escala territorial y escasamente humana la distingue y cualifica espacialmente entre otras manifestaciones del construir. Y la persistencia de su uso por el público la suelda al país hasta convertirla en instrumento obligado de mediación entre el hombre y su mundo, de necesaria consideración para establecer la historia de su habitar. El diálogo entre la forma construida y su entorno es extremadamente rico y participa de procesos comunes a las bellas artes que su escala y persistencia proyectan a una dimensión creativa de gran potencia. En particular, las realizaciones de las últimas décadas evidencian un dominio formal que, al mostrar su capacidad de liberarse de la tradición de tipo y material, ha generado el interés del mundo del arte por la obra de ingeniería. All engineering work is generated by the action of form and radiates around building the landscape. Its territorial level and barely human scale distinguishes and qualifies it specially among other manifestations of building. And its continued use by the public welds it to the country up to making it a required instrument to mediate between man and his world, the necessary consideration to establish the history of his living. The dialogue between built form and environment is extremely rich and participates in processes common to the fine arts in which its scale and persistence project a highly powered creative dimension. In particular, the achievements of the past decades show a formal domain which, showing their ability to break free from the tradition of type and material, have generated interest to the engineering work in the world of art.
