displacements: an x’scape journal is an architectural & editorial project born out of the research led since 2009 in the Landscape LAB at the Master in Advanced Architectural Projects (MPAA) and the Cultural Landscape Research Group of the ETSAM School of Architecture in Madrid. Conceived as a tool to broaden the scope of a dialogue that might help us face in an integrated, situated and transdisciplinar way the two essential aspects of any critical practice: knowledge and action.
Thus, on the launch of its first installment—criminal displacements, a collective investigation on the ambiguous relation between law, crime and the production of space—, we are calling out for our first displaced dialogue that will take place in Madrid’s Medialab-Prado at 7pm on Tuesday the 6th of May.
On that same evening we will also introduce the Society for the Exploration and Practice of the Spatial Common(s). A new Medialab-Prado work group in which we will see to minor repertoires, spatial minstrelling tactics or the production of a common spatiality, but where, above all, we will keep exploring, navigating and producing the city.
